3-DAY TOUR FROM MARRAKECH TO MERZOUGA DESERT

DAY 1: MARRAKECH - OUARZAZATE - DADÈS GORGES

Today’s journey starts from Marrakech to Dadès Gorges and we travel across the Tizi-n-Tichka Atlas mountains pass (2260m), with amaizng views across the mountains. We will visit traditional High Atlas Berber village of Telouet and we take a guided tour of the Kasbah of El Glaoui (former War Lord and Pasha of Marrakech). Then we continue our visit to the UNESCO World Heritage Site in Ait Ben Haddou, a spectacular fortified village. After lunch at Ouarzazate we continue to Dadès Gorges where we will spend the night in lcoal riad.

DAY 2: DADES GORGES - MERZOUGA

After breakfast, we drive from Dadès Gorges to the Sahara desert of Merzouga. Berber villages are scattered along the way and we’ll pass through Tinjdad, Jorf and Erfoud. This is beginning of the Saharan Oasis (Tafilalt) ,we continue to Merzouga where we ride camels in the sand dunes. We will spend the night in an equipped desert camp with drums music in the middle of the Sahara. When we arrive to the camp, we climb the high dune to see the sunset and we will spend the night in nomad tent.

DAY 3: MERZOUGA - OUARZAZATE - MARRAKECH

After watching the sunrise we gride our camels back to Merzouga and we will have an opportunity to take a shower and have a breakfast. Then we start our journey back to Ouarzazate and on our way we visit the Berber shops where you can purchase souvenirs (fossils, carpets, lamps, leather). We arrive to Ouarzazate in the afternoon and from there we head back to Marrakech.
